Beth is an Executive Coach, Founder and Managing Partner of The Oakes Group.  She is an expert in Outplacement/Transition Services, known and respected for her honest style and appreciated as someone who cares deeply about her clients and their successes.

Beth’s clients come through referrals and include High Potentials, Professionals, Managing Directors/Partners, C-Suite Executives and Board Directors who work in a variety of functional areas: Finance, Tax, Human Resources, Business Development, Risk, Operations, Private Equity, Government Relations, Corporate Governance, Corporate and Legal Services, Communications, Advertising/Marketing, and Corporate Social Responsibility.  

Her industry clients include Mining, Financial Services, Professional Services, Telco, Advertising, Healthcare, Retail, Aerospace, Education, Private Equity, Consumer Packaged Goods, Government Agencies, Professional Associations, and Foundations.

Beth provides services in Canada, the United States and internationally.  She has served on the international team, sponsored by the World Association of Newspapers, providing career road mapping and career coaching services to women working in the media in Southern Africa.  

Prior to founding The Oakes Group, Beth served as Executive Vice President in the Toronto office of DHR International Executive Search.  Before joining DHR, she was Managing Partner of Miller Dallas, one of Canada’s leading Executive Career Management firms.  At Miller Dallas Beth built strong and lasting client/partner relationships and delivered leading edge services to assist clients in obtaining great employment opportunities, building their networks, their brands, careers, and legacies.  

Beth is a member of the Canadian Association of Management Consultants and a Certified Management Consultant (CMC).  She is a member of the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD), and a lifetime Senior Professional in the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).  She has served on the Advisory Board for Canada’s Most Powerful Women Top 100, on the faculty of the Canadian Board Diversity Council (CBDC) and was Board Chair of Youth Employment Services (YES).  Beth is currently on the Board of Directors for the Stony Lake Heritage Foundation and is a Founding Visionary of The Prosperity Project.  Beth’s work has been published in the Globe and Mail and the journal of The Institute of Corporate Directors.  Beth holds a degree in Psychology from Western University.
