About Beth
Beth Oakes is the Founder and Managing Partner of THE OAKES GROUP.
Beth provides career advice to executives and professionals in Canada, the US, and globally. Beth has provided personal and career branding, coaching and marketing strategies to executives and professionals in all functional areas including board directors, and across a broad range of sectors including financial services, private equity, technology, telecommunications, media and entertainment, professional services, health care, government, retail and industrial. She is an international coach and has extensive experience in human capital management especially career management, and organizational design.
Beth has served as Executive Vice President at DHR International Executive Search in their Toronto office. Prior to joining DHR International, Beth was Managing Director at Miller Dallas, one of the leading executive career management firms in Canada. Her career has progressed through financial services, government, entrepreneurial organizations and global professional service firms.
A Certified Management Consultant, Beth is a member of the Canadian Association of Management Consultants (CMC). She is a member of the Institute of Corporate Directors, the Women’s Executive Network and the Society for Human Resource Management (SPHR). Beth is the Past Chair of the Board of Directors for Youth Employment Services (YES). She is a frequent guest speaker in Canada and internationally and her work has been published.
She holds a degree in Psychology from the University of Western Ontario.
